It just hasn’t been a great night to be a starting quarterback at a major college program.
On the heels of Taylor Martinez‘s minor ankle injury against Texas A&M, USC quarterback Matt Barkley has been carted off the field due to a sprained left ankle of his own.
The injury occurred on the final offensive drive for USC in the first half as Barkley was tackled awkwardly. To add insult to injury, the Trojans are down 23-0 to 4-5 Oregon State.
Former Arkansas quarterback Mitch Mustain will likely be USC’s field general for the rest of the game.
