With news breaking earlier today that almost transferring UCLA quarterback Chris Forcier will be giving wide receiver a shot, the report of an incoming defensive lineman making it to campus in June almost slid through the cracks.Branden Warner committed to the Bruins from Compton Junior College, but couldn’t sign a binding letter of intent because of an outstanding tuiton bill, which kept the school from releasing his transcripts. But Warner will graduate in early June with his associate’s degree and will enroll at UCLA later in the month."I’m supposed to get the loan check soon, then I will pay the bill,” Warner said. “I will be at UCLA in June."He’s expected to immediately compete for a starting spot up from after the departure of Brigham Harwell. Warner is still being recruited by Washington State, LSU, and New Mexico State.
