KOCHI, Japan -- Japan’s Toru Taniguchi shot a 4-under 68 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after the third round of the Casio World Open.
Taniguchi had an 8-under 208 total on Kochi Kuroshio Country Club course. South Korea’s Kim Jong Duck was second after a 68.
On Friday, 16-year-old star Michelle Wie missed the cut by a stroke, following her opening 73 with a 75 for 4-over 148 total. Wie was making her sixth start in a men’s professional tournament. She also failed to advance to weekend play in three PGA Tour starts, a Nationwide Tour event and a Canadian Tour event.
