PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Heath Slocum found the water, again, at the famous 17th hole but still has hopes of a Players Championship title.
Slocum, who is tied for sixth place and three shots behind Lee Westwood, said his wife Victoria was doing well following a procedure to break up a kidney stone that sent her to the emergency room on Tuesday.
The hardest part now for Slocum is not being able to celebrate Mother’s Day with her on Sunday.
‘I’ll just be happy to see her,’ he smiled, before adding, ‘with a trophy in my hands.’
