A lot of folks were surprised when relatively unknown Aussie Marc Leishman fired a second round 62 on Saturday – but the Big Break’s James Nitties wasn’t one of them.
With his stylish neon-colored clothes, outgoing personality, and reality show stint on the Golf Channel, Nitties is better known to our viewers than his friend and fellow country-mate Leishman, but James also knows better than to underestimate the tall, polite young man who grew up in a town known as “Windy Warrnambool” – one of the most blustery places on the face of the earth.
Said Nitties of Leishman (pronounced leash – or what you’d use to walk a dog), “I always said he’s be the one to watch on tour this year… quiet achiever.”
Leishman may be a quiet achiever, but on this day his game spoke volumes.
