  • Lions waived C/G Jacques McClendon.
McClendon goes to make room for S Vincent Fuller. He has now been dumped by the Colts and Lions since being picked in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.
  • Jaguars waived LG Jacques McClendon.
It’s the fourth straight week McClendon has been either waived or promoted by the Jaguars. The move clears a spot for Justin Blackmon’s return.
  • Jaguars re-signed G/C Jacques McClendon.
A former fourth-round pick, McClendon hasn’t appeared in a game since 2010. He’ll sit on the end of the roster before likely being bumped off in a week or two.
  • Jaguars claimed C/G Jacques McClendon off waivers from the Falcons.
It wasn’t a good sign for McClendon that he couldn’t crack a poor Falcons offensive line, but the Jags will give him a longer look. He was drafted by Bill Polian in Indianapolis. Polian’s son, Chris, is now a Jaguars scout.
  • Jaguars released/waived G/C Jacques McClendon, DL Richard Ash, DL T.J. Barnes, CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun, TE Braedon Bowman, OL Kadeem Edwards, WR Shaq Evans, OL Rashod Hill, WR Rashad Lawrence, LB Sean Porter, OL Pearce Slater, LB Jordan Tripp and WR Shane Wynn.

  • Jaguars G/C Jacques McClendon is competing with third-round rookie Brandon Linder for the starting right guard position.
Coach Gus Bradley said the competition won’t be decided until camp, but it would be surprising if Linder does not open the season as the starter. McClendon has made no impact since being drafted by the Colts in the fourth round in 2010, and with 42 college starts to his name, Linder has the experience to start right away. Linder also played for Jags OC Jedd Fisch at Miami.
  • Dolphins waived OL Jacques McClendon.
Practice-squadder Sam Brenner will take his place on the active roster. McClendon had been competing for backup snaps behind starting center Mike Pouncey.
  • Dolphins signed OL Jacques McClendon to a one-year contract.
McClendon appeared in 13 games (three starts) for Jacksonville last year. He gives Miami interior line depth with the ability to back up at multiple spots. A career journeyman, McClendon has played on four teams over the past five seasons.
