Butler

Butler, 32, was in the majors briefly with the Red Sox in 2014 and 2018, so he got a World Series ring this season. He was 5-for-25 at the plate in the big leagues.

Butler is a career .259/.357/.417 hitter in the minors and has a bit of pop. The 26-year-old is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

The 27-year-old backstop was hitting .227/.306/.338 with four homers and 28 RBI in his 76 games at Triple-A. He’ll function as nothing more than a backup behind Christian Vazquez.
