The Indians activated Andrew Miller from the disabled list today.
Miller had been out since April 25 due to a strained left hamstring, missing 14 games. In his absence the Indians went 5-9 and, not surprisingly, the bullpen was a problem, with Cleveland relievers compiling a 9.50 ERA in 36 innings without their lefty fireman. The Tribe still leads the AL Central, but that’s mostly because the AL Central is terrible. The Indians have an 18-18 record overall.
Miller has appeared in 11 games this year, pitching 10 innings. He has not allowed a run and has struck out 17 batters, walked only four and has allowed only six hits.
