As expected the Mets have activated David Wright from the disabled list after the All-Star third baseman missed the past six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Wright, who last played on August 2, was hitting .309 with 16 homers and a .904 OPS in 105 games before being shut down for his best production since 2008. He’ll be in the Mets’ lineup tonight against the Phillies after the team went 19-26 without him.

Obviously there’s nothing to play for beyond the Mets trying to avoid 90 losses, but Wright will attempt to end the season on a high note.
