It’s reasonably common for a beloved player to buy an advertisement in the local newspaper thanking fans when he switches teams.
A team buying an ad to thank the players is rarer.
But the Heat and Dwyane Wade had a special relationship before his departure to the Bulls.

That sounds like the door is open to Wade returning to Miami, which you never know.
Wade followed LeBron James in leaving the Heat for his hometown team. Could Wade follow LeBron in returning to his first team? Whatever hurt feelings exist between Wade and Miami pale in comparison to the bitterness between the Cavaliers and LeBron in 2010.
But LeBron is the exception. When most players leave via free agency, they’re gone for good. There’s no good reason to bet on Wade being another exception.
