Devils forward Pesonen signs in Switzerland
Devils forward Harri Pesonen, who debuted for the club last season and appeared in four games, has left the organization to join Swiss league outfit Lausanne.
Lausanne announced the deal on Tuesday, one that keeps Pesonen in Switzerland until 2016. Prior to heading overseas the Finnish forward spent all of last season with AHL Albany, appearing in a team-high 75 games while finishing sixth on the team in scoring, with 36 points.
Praised by Devils head coach Peter DeBoer for his “high-tempo game,” Pesonen originally joined the Devils in 2013, signing as an undrafted free agent after several years with Finnish league team JyP HT Jyvaskyla, which I assure you is a real thing.
