Lee Stempniak has signed a one-year contract with the New Jersey Devils.
The deal is believed to be worth $850, 000.
Stempniak was in camp on a professional tryout and it looks like he impressed the Devils’ brass enough to get himself a deal.
Last season, the 32-year-old was traded from the Rangers to the Jets in exchange for Carl Klingberg.
He scored 15 goals and 28 points with Winnipeg and New York in 2014-15.
The Devils will be Stempniak’s eighth team. He has also suited up for St. Louis, Toronto, Phoenix, Calgary, Pittsburgh, New York and Winnipeg.
