Video: Did Carey Price suffer another setback?

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse in Montreal, the team hits a new low.

The Canadiens have just five wins in their last 26 games and with each passing day, it’s becoming increasingly clear that help is not on the way.

The team’s been without goalie Carey Price since Nov. 27.

A few weeks ago, General Manager Marc Bergevin said they expected Price to be out another three to four weeks.

If that statement is accurate, Price would be set to come back in the next week to 10 days, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

French television network RDS recorded some footage of Price skating at the team’s practice facility on Wednesday.

As you see in the video, Price is still skating without any equipment, and the stick he’s using no longer has a blade. It also looks like he’s in a lot of discomfort.

When asked if the team had an update on Price’s status, head coach Michel Therrien said there was nothing new to report (surprise, surprise).

Is his season over? It sure looks that way.
