Olympic champions Mo Farah and Matthew Centrowitz will race head-to-head at the USATF Distance Classic on Thursday night, streaming live on NBC Sports Gold.
The Los Angeles meet, with events from 800m to 5000m, also includes Rio 1500m bronze medalist Jenny Simpson and Olympians Shannon Rowbury and Brenda Martinez.

Farah, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic 5000m and 10,000m champion, opens the final outdoor track season of his career by racing the 1500m on Thursday. The Somalian-born Brit plans to transition to marathons following the world championships in London.
Centrowitz, who in Rio became the first U.S. Olympic 1500m champ in 108 years, will race in the same 1500m heat as his training partner Farah.
Centrowitz and Farah will go head-to-head for the third time, according to Tilastopaja.org. They previously raced together in Diamond League 1500ms in Monaco in 2013 and 2015, with Farah finishing ahead of Centrowitz both times (but not winning).
U.S. runners are preparing for the U.S. Championships in Sacramento from June 23-25, the qualifying meet for the world championships in August.
