Reigning U.S. Champion Ashley Wagner to Compete

Stamford, Conn. – November 13, 2013 – NBC continues its coverage of the 2013 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating with the Grand Prix of France on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Highlighting the field for the U.S. in the ladies’ free skate are two-time U.S. champion Ashley Wagner and 2013 Skate America silver medalist Christina Gao. In addition, three-time World champion Patrick Chan of Canada will compete in the men’s free skate.
COMMENTATORS: Terry Gannon will call the action alongside analysts Johnny Weir, a two-time Olympian and three-time U.S. champion, and Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski.
The Grand Prix of France is the fifth event of the 2013 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix Figure Skating Series. The Grand Prix Series, now in its 19th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to participate in the series. Each athlete is eligible to score points in up to two of the six scheduled events. The top six point-earners in each discipline qualify for the 2013 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, set for Dec. 5-8, in Fukuoka, Japan.
