IBF Champion Jonas and WBC Titlist Habazin Meet this Weekend at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre

Lauren Price MBE Faces Bexcy Mateus in a WBA, IBO, and Ring Magazine Welterweight World Championship Fight

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 12, 2024 – Peacock exclusively streams live coverage of this Saturday’s BOXXER card beginning at 2 p.m. ET featuring a Welterweight world title unification bout as IBF Welterweight champion Natasha Jonas takes on WBC titlist Ivana Habazin from the Liverpool Exhibition Centre.

Jonas (15-2-1, 9 KOs), a Liverpool native fighting in her sixth consecutive title match, successfully defended her belt earlier this year against American Mikaela Mayer by a split decision. Habazin (23-5, 7 KOs) earned the vacant WBC world title by outpointing Kinga Magyar earlier this year.

In the chief support contest, Lauren Price MBE (7-0), the most successful UK amateur boxer of all-time, defends her WBA, IBO, and Ring Magazine Welterweight world titles against unbeaten contender out of Colombia, Bexcy Mateus (7-0, 6 KOs).

Victories by both Jonas and Price MBE could set up a major welterweight world title clash between the British champions next year.

Saturday’s undercard features a Super-Welterweight showdown between Stephen McKenna (15-0) and Lee Cutler (14-1), the return of rising cruiserweight star and reigning English Champion Viddal Riley, unbeaten super-middleweight Mark Jeffers, and more.
