Fever-Aces on WNBA’s Sunday Night Basketball Debut on July 12 is Most-Watched WNBA Game of 2026 Season

STAMFORD, Conn.July 16, 2026 – Four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces (17-7) visit 2026 WNBA All-Star Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo (10-14) from Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, Canada, this Monday, July 20, at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. Live coverage on Monday begins with WNBA Showtime featuring Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers and analysts Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller and host LaChina Robinson.

In their inaugural season as a franchise, this will be NBC Sports’ first-ever Toronto Tempo game. They are the first WNBA team located outside of the U.S. have been a huge success in their native country thus far, with a WNBA regular season-record 20,996 fans attending their game against Dallas in Montreal earlier this month.

Las Vegas, currently in third place in the league standings, is led by Wilson and five-time WNBA All-Star guard Jackie Young, both of whom were named to the 2026 All-Star team. Wilson’s 25.5 points per game continues to lead the league in scoring by a wide margin (almost three more points on average than the runner-up), while she also ranks first in blocks (2.0 BPG). Young, who, along with Wilson, is a three-time WNBA champion in Las Vegas, ranks fifth in the WNBA in assists (6.6 APG).

The Tempo are led by Marina Mabrey, a 2019 second round pick out of Notre Dame that was recently named to her first WNBA All-Star Game. Mabrey ranks third in the WNBA in scoring (21.0 PPG), trailing only Wilson and Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell. Toronto also features veteran point guard Julie Allemand, who ranks ninth in the league in assists (5.4 APG).

Former Elon University basketball player Zora Stephenson (play-by-play), former DePaul basketball player Sarah Kustok (analyst), and Ashley ShahAhmadi (sideline reporter) will call Aces-Tempo.

Live coverage begins with WNBA Showtime at 8 p.m. ET ahead of tip-off along with halftime and extended post-game studio coverage featuring host LaChina Robinson with Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller.

A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces will visit three-time WNBA All-Star Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream on Monday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. The previously scheduled Storm-Liberty game will be available in their local markets.

NBC AND PEACOCK DELIVER MOST-WATCHED WNBA GAME OF 2026 SEASON WITH FEVER-ACES ON SUNDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL

The WNBA’s Sunday Night Basketball debut between the Indiana Fever and the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces on July 12 averaged a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 2.64 million viewers on NBC and Peacock in primetime, making it the most-watched game of the 2026 WNBA season, based on official Nielsen Big Data + Panel and digital data from Adobe Analytics. The game is also the most-watched WNBA regular-season Sunday game since 1998 and second most-watched WNBA regular-season game since 2000. For more information, click here.
