Peacock Sunday Night Football Final Streams Live Immediately After This Week’s SNF Game
STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 16, 2026 – Super Bowl MVPs Patrick Mahomes and Kenneth Walker lead the Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) against Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts (0-1) in the Week 2 edition of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Football Night in America, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on NBC, Peacock and Universo.
The Chiefs defeated the AFC West rival Denver Broncos, 31-10, at home on Monday Night Football and will make their second consecutive primetime appearance to open the season. Mahomes passed for 173 yards and two touchdowns and added 23 yards and another score on the ground in his first game since tearing his ACL in Week 15 last season. In his Chiefs debut, Walker exploded for 191 scrimmage yards and two total touchdowns, including a career-high 173 rushing yards. Seven-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce posted a game-high 71 receiving yards on three receptions against Denver, increasing his career regular-season total to 13,073 yards and surpassing Jason Witten for the second-most by a tight end in NFL history. Kelce trails only Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez (15,127 yards) on the all-time list. Kansas City head coach Andy Reid will make his 53rd appearance on Sunday Night Football this Sunday, the most by any head coach in the history of NBC’s SNF package.
The Colts fell to the Baltimore Ravens, 41-23, last weekend in their home opener. Jones threw for 166 yards and a touchdown, while Taylor had 121 scrimmage yards (98 rushing, 23 receiving) and a pair of rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Alec Pierce led the team with 61 receiving yards on four receptions.
The Colts and Chiefs meet for the 30th time, including the postseason, on Sunday, with Indianapolis holding an 18-11 advantage in the all-time series. Each of their last three matchups has been decided by one score, including last season’s 23-20 Chiefs overtime victory at Arrowhead Stadium. This will be only the second meeting between the two teams on Sunday Night Football, following the Colts’ 19-13 road win on Oct. 6, 2019. The teams also met on NBC during the 2013 AFC Wild Card round, when Andrew Luck led Indianapolis back from a 38-10 deficit early in the third quarter to defeat Kansas City, 45-44, in the second-largest comeback in NFL postseason history.
Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Cris Collinsworth (analyst), and Melissa Stark (sideline reporter) will call Colts-Chiefs. Three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay is the rules analyst for all NFL games on NBC and Peacock.
Coverage begins with Football Night in America live on-site from Arrowhead Stadium at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. The pregame show will feature host Maria Taylor, joined by Super Bowl‑winning former head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Tomlin, former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, three-time Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty, and NFL insider Mike Florio. NBC Sports kicked off the 21st season of Sunday Night Football with a pair of games on NBC and Peacock that each averaged more than 25 million viewers — marking the first time since 2015 that the NFL Kickoff Game and the SNF season opener both topped 25 million viewers.
The Patriots-Seahawks NFL Kickoff Game averaged 25.1 million viewers, marking the fourth consecutive year that the season-opening game topped 25 million. Sunday’s Cowboys-Giants matchup averaged 25.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched NBC Sunday Night Football season opener since 2015, based on Nielsen Big Data inclusive of first-party data.
NBC SPORTS TO PRESENT 26 NFL GAMES IN 2026
On NBC and Peacock, NBC Sports will present 22 regular-season games – 18 regular-season Sunday Night Football games, NFL Kickoff 2026, and the annual Thanksgiving night game and a late afternoon Week 17 game at 4:30 p.m. ET on Jan. 2, 2027, plus a primetime Week 17 Peacock exclusive game on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027. NBC Sports will present three postseason games on NBC and Peacock – two Wild Card games, including one in primetime on Sunday night, Jan. 17, and one Divisional Playoff game on the weekend of January 23-24. NBC Sports also presented the preseason-opening Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Peacock will once again stream all NBC NFL games, including the playoffs, and the Football Night in America studio show. The exclusive Peacock Sunday Night Football Final returns with expanded postgame coverage following SNF each week. Peacock will be the exclusive national home of an NFL Week 17 game in primetime on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027, immediately following an NFL game at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. NBC stations in competing team cities will also broadcast the Peacock exclusive game.

As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned.
