2026 Preakness Runner-Up Iron Honor Also Entered in Saturday’s Race

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 15, 2026 – Napoleon Solo, winner of the 2026 Preakness Stakes (G1), headlines NBC Sports’ live coverage of the “Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series: Win and You’re In” $1 million Haskell Stakes (G1) this Saturday, July 18, at 5 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock from Monmouth Park in Oceanport, N.J. The winner of the race will earn an automatic berth into this year’s $7 million Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1).
The Haskell Stakes continues NBC Sports’ 13th year presenting the “Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series: Win and You’re In” on NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN from some of North America’s most iconic racetracks, featuring 95 races in 14 countries on five continents. Saturday’s live coverage will also include the 1 3/8-mile, $500,000 United Nations Stakes (G2) on turf.
NBC Sports’ coverage will feature host Ahmed Fareed, analysts Randy Moss and Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey, winner of 15 Breeders’ Cup races including five victories in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic, handicapper Matt Bernier, and reporters Nick Luck and Andie Biancone.
2026 Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Napoleon Solo (5-2 on the morning line), and runner-up Iron Honor (3-1), are entered in the 1 ⅛-mile Haskell Stakes, in addition to 2026 Blue Grass Stakes (G1) winner Further Ado (the favorite at 2-1), 2026 Florida Derby (G1) runner-up The Puma (7-2), and 2026 Kentucky Derby (G1) third-place finisher Ocelli (6-1).
