Philadelphia Stars Play Pittsburgh Maulers Sunday at Noon ET on NBC and Peacock

NBC Sports and FOX Sports to Present All 43 USFL Games Live During 2023 Season

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 27, 2023 – NBC Sports presents a 2023 Week 3 USFL doubleheader this weekend, headlined by the defending champion Birmingham Stallions and quarterback Alex McGough facing league-leading passer McLeod Bethel-Thompson and the New Orleans Breakers in a battle of unbeatens Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on USA Network and Peacock at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala.

McGough, who leads the USFL in passing touchdowns with five, threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns in the Stallions’ 42-2 win over the Showboats last Saturday. Dating back to last season, Birmingham has won five consecutive games, including the 2022 Championship.

In the Breakers’ 38-31 win against the Gamblers last Saturday, Bethel-Thompson added to his league-leading passing total with 251 yards and two touchdowns with tight end Sage Surratt hauling in 11 catches for 121 yards and a score. Running back Wes Hills recorded a season-high 110 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the victory to move New Orleans to 2-0.

NBC Sports’ Paul Burmeister (play-by-play), two-time Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Rudolph (analyst), and Caroline Pineda (sideline reporter) will call Stallions-Breakers Saturday on USA Network and Peacock.

Quarterback Case Cookus and the Philadelphia Stars (1-1) play linebacker Kyahva Tezino and the Pittsburgh Maulers (0-2) Sunday at Noon ET on NBC and Peacock at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.

Cookus threw for 283 yards in the Stars’ first defeat of the year last Sunday to the Panthers, 24-10, while running back Matt Colburn II added 43 yards (23 rushing, 20 receiving) and a touchdown.

Tezino registered 15 tackles, including two for loss, in Pittsburgh’s 20-3 defeat to New Jersey last Sunday and paces the league in tackles (22).

NBC Sports’ Jac Collinsworth (play-by-play), Super Bowl-winning fullback Michael Robinson (analyst), and Lewis Johnson (sideline reporter) will call the Stars-Maulers matchup on NBC and Peacock.

NBC Sports and FOX Sports, the USFL’s official media partners, will combine to present all 43 games live during the 2023 season. 2023 features 29 games on the NBC and FOX broadcast networks, which is a six-game increase from the league’s inaugural season. NBC Sports will present 18 games across NBC and Peacock (11) and USA Network and Peacock (7). FOX Sports will carry 25 games split between FOX (18) and FS1 (7).
