2016 home openers announced for all MLS teams; Cup rematch helps open slate

Seventy-five days.

That’s how long we’ll wait from this moment until the first kick of the 2016 Major League Soccer season.

An MLS Cup rematch switches venues to Oregon on opening weekend, while Vancouver and Montreal stage an all-Canadian matchup as well.

The league laid out the home openers for all its teams on Tuesday, and here’s what’s cooking:

1) Toronto FC again renovating -- The Red Patch Boys and other TFC supporters won’t get to see their boys at BMO Field until Saturday, May 7. It’ll be FC Dallas up into Toronto for the Week 12 duel.

2) Two others wait til Week Three - DC United hits RFK for a match with Colorado on Match 19, while Philadelphia hosts New England on Sunday, March 20.

3) Ten Week One fixtures:

1:30 p.m. ET -- RBNY vs. Toronto FC
2 p.m. ET -- Orlando vs. RSL; Chicago vs. NYCFC
3 p.m. ET -- Dallas vs. Philadelphia; Houston vs. New England; San Jose vs. Colorado
4:30 p.m. ET -- Portland vs. Columbus
5:30 p.m. ET -- Vancouver vs. Montreal
7 p.m. ET -- Seattle vs. Sporting KC
10 p.m. ET -- L.A. vs. D.C. United

4) The rest - No kickoff times for this bunch, but New England hosts DC United in Week Two, while Columbus gets Philadelphia at MAPFRE. Colorado sees the Galaxy in town, while Vancouver heads to Kansas City. Real Salt Lake hosts the Sounders, and Montreal will welcome RBNY.
