Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph both moved to Manchester City this summer, both in controversial fashion.

Sterling basically forced his way out of Liverpool, rejecting all contract offers from the club until Manchester City paid $75 million to make him the most expensive English player ever.

Delph was the captain of Aston Villa, and was linked throughout the summer with a move to Manchester City. When it was reported that a move to City was complete, Delph made a public statement that the headlines were false and that he would be staying at Villa. Just days later, he signed for Manchester City.

Yesterday, the two City teammates were traveling to San Marino for national team duty with England, when Sterling decided to get a little clever on social media.

Sterling and Delph posed for a picture that used emojis to reference the movie “Snakes on a Plane,” also poking fun at how the two have been portrayed in the media after their transfers.

While City supporters are surely loving this, Liverpool and Villa fans, not so much.
