Kansas State earned a big win over Iowa State yesterday and also received some positive news away from the floor on Sunday morning as point guard Kamau Stokes committed to the Wildcats.
A former Toledo signee who opted to do a postgrad year at Fork Union Military Academy instead, Stokes had a quality showing at the National Prep Showcase this fall and saw his recruiting attention increase. The 5-foot-10 Stokes is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals, and the native of Baltimore played with Baltimore Supreme on the grassroots circuit.
The commitment of Stokes now makes the 2015 class a four-man group for Kansas State as he joins Florida native and guard Barry Brown, Kansas native and forward Dean Wade and Texas center Dante Williams. All three players are regarded as three-star prospects.
