As it takes a brief respite from Big Ten play, Wisconsin should have two of its most productive players, one on each side of the football, for this Saturday’s game against BYU.
Both wide receiver Jared Abbrederis and linebacker Chris Borland participated fully in practice Thursday, the first time that’s happened this week for the former. The latter had returned to practice earlier in the week.
Abbrederis, who leads the Badgers in all major statistical categories this season, suffered a rib injury in the win over Iowa last weekend. He was uncertain earlier in the week if he would be healthy enough for this weekend’s non-conference game.
“He was out there moving around pretty good today,” head coach Gary Andersen said according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “I would expect him to be really not even be limited.”
Borland did not play in the Iowa game after tweaking a hamstring during the Oct. 19 win over Illinois. The senior leads the team in tackles with 57, and is tied for second on the team in sacks (two) and third in tackles for loss (three).
