Hebert started the final round in a three-way tie for the lead and went out in 1-over-par 37. Five birdies and four pars on the back clinched the victory over two-time Nationwide Tour champion, Sonny Skinner. The Top 20 earn tee times at the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills in August. Among those booking a trip to the major are one-time Nationwide Tour champ, Jim Estes, and two-time winner of this event, Tim Thelen. Hebert, a Michigan native, will play this week’s Buick Open on a sponsor’s exemption and is granted six PGA Tour starts in a 12-month period in addition to any sponsor’s exemptions he receives.
