Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge will be activated from the injured list on Friday, MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch reports. Judge has been out since April 21 due to a strained left oblique.
Despite Judge’s absence, the Yankees have thrived, going 36-17 while he was on the IL. Prior to the injury, Judge was batting .288/.404/.521 with five home runs and 11 RBI in 89 plate appearances.
Clint Frazier, Cameron Maybin, and Mike Tauchman have handled right field over the last two months. With Frazier and Tauchman back at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Judge will have no problem sliding back to his regular spot, and Maybin will return to the bench.
