Jose Reyes and Alex Rodriguez aren’t the only ones on the feds’ list. Turns out that
Mets center fielder Carlos Beltran spoke with federal investigators last week about Dr. Galea, the Canadian doctor accused of selling unapproved drugs, having his assistant try to smuggle HGH over the border and related nastiness.
According to the Associated Press, Beltran went to Toronto to consult with Dr. Galea while he was sidelined with his knee injury last summer. He says he’s not worried about the investigation because he didn’t do anything wrong. This jibes with everything we’ve heard from Reyes, Rodriguez, and Bud Selig.
As of press time there was no comment from Ian O’Connor, mostly because he’s been blinded by apoplectic rage the week’s events.
