White Sox prospect Carlos Rodon will not start on Monday against the Blue Jays as previously scheduled. Hector Noesi will start instead, MLB.com’s Scott Merkin reports. The club is trying to limit the amount of innings the 22-year-old puts on his arm in his first year in the big leagues.
Rodon, taken third overall in the 2014 draft, has struggled over his first three starts, posting a 4.50 ERA with a 17/15 K/BB ratio in 16 innings. The White Sox haven’t announced when Rodon will take the mound next, but it is expected to be sometime during the week.
