Cole Custer scored his first career Cup win, going from sixth to first in the final restart Sunday at Kentucky Speedway.
Martin Truex Jr. finished second and was followed by Matt DiBenedetto, Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch.
Kevin Harvick remains the points leader after Sunday’s race. He leads Brad Keselowski by 88 points. Custer entered the day 25th in points and climbed to 20th with the win. Custer’s win means that the cutoff for the playoffs is 15th in points now. Jimmie Johnson is 15th in the standings, leading Austin Dillon by 24 points and Tyler Reddick by 41 points.
