Pocono Cup results, points report

Kyle Busch holds off Brad Keselowski to win the NASCAR Cup Series Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway.

Kyle Busch scored his season-high fourth win of the season Sunday at Pocono Raceway. Brad Keselowski was second.

Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske have combined to win 13 of the first 14 points races. Drivers from JGR and Team Penske took the top three spots and five of the top seven spots.

In the season standings, Kyle Larson is tied with Jimmie Johnson for the final playoff spot after finishing 26th. Larson was running in the top 10 when he hit the wall after contact with Clint Bowyer in the final laps.

Erik Jones entered the race 17th in the points and moved up to 15th based on his third-place finish. He is one point ahead of Larson and Johnson.

“I know we want to win, but we needed a good day to get us back on track and keep it rolling,” Jones said on his team’s radio after the race.
