Devin Booker on Troy Daniels after skirmish: ‘Been on five teams in three years, and he has the nerve to talk trash to me’ (video)

Late in the Grizzlies’ win over the Suns yesterday, Troy Daniels made a 3-pointer while drawing a Devin Booker foul. From there, plenty of pushing and shoving broke out.

Daniels and the Suns’ Marquese Chriss and Tyler Ulis were ejected. Those three received technical fouls, as did Booker, Alan Williams and JaMychal Green.

Alex Len also left Phoenix’s bench, which, according to NBA rules, will result in a one-game suspension. Even though Len played peacemaker, the league’s policy is designed to prevent escalation by requiring players to remain on the bench during a fight.

After the game, Booker kept going at Daniels:

Booker:

I don’t why he’d be talking to me. Been on five teams in three years, and he has the nerve to talk trash to me. But it is what it is. He’s on a winning team. So, you have those muscles when you’re on a winning team.

Four teams, not five -- but, mostly, I’m just glad acknowledged Booker acknowledged Daniels’ team success. This is how to talk trash endearingly.
