Now here’s something you don’t see every day.
With 7:42 remaining in the fourth quarter of the epic matchup between the Nets and the Raptors on Wednesday, Brooklyn’s Kris Humphries went to the line for a couple of free throw attempts.
After receiving the ball from one of the officials and beginning his shooting motion, the baseline referee realizes that for whatever reason, they weren’t ready for him to shoot.
Instead of simply whistling the play dead, the official runs at Humphries and tries to block the free throw attempt.
Humphries has enough problems with opposing teams’ fans; the last thing he needs is to get his shot blocked by an official to add fuel to that fire, so it’s probably a good thing that the ball never left his hands.
