Another domino of the buyout market appears to have fallen. Steve Novak, who had fallen out of the rotation in Oklahoma City, was dealt to Denver at the deadline in a deal that sent Randy Foye to the Thunder. The Nuggets immediately bought out Novak, and now ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reports that he’s headed to Milwaukee, a city he has a connection with from his college days at Marquette.

Former Marquette star Steve Novak, after stops with nine NBA teams, is headed back to the state of Wisconsin.

League sources told ESPN.com that the perimeter specialist intends to sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday or Monday after clearing waivers.

Meanwhile, ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst reports that the Bucks plan to waive Chris Copeland to clear a roster spot for Novak.

Besides the hometown connection, Novak provides scoring on the perimeter for the Bucks, who are looking to make a push to get back into the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.
