Former Marquette star Steve Novak, after stops with nine NBA teams, is headed back to the state of Wisconsin.
League sources told ESPN.com that the perimeter specialist intends to sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday or Monday after clearing waivers.
Meanwhile, ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst reports that the Bucks plan to waive Chris Copeland to clear a roster spot for Novak.

Besides the hometown connection, Novak provides scoring on the perimeter for the Bucks, who are looking to make a push to get back into the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.
