Andrew Cogliano has never missed a game in his NHL career.
That’s pretty impressive considering he’s playing in his 680th consecutive game on Sunday.
“It’s something I’m obviously proud of,” Cogliano told Sportsnet during the second intermission of Sunday’s game against Calgary. “I think a lot of it is just luck and being fortunate. I think I take pride in myself and this being my profession and my job.
“I have a system I’ve kind of used throughout my career. I’ve been able to be fortunate to catch some bounces here and there, but I obviously take pride in how I take care of myself.”
Cogliano’s iron man streak is the sixth longest in NHL history.
He still has a long way to go to become number one in that category.
- Doug Jarvis-964 games
- Garry Unger-914 games
- Steve Larmer-884 games
- Craig Ramsay 776 games
- Jay Bouwmeester 737 games
- Andrew Cogliano-680
Bouwmeester’s streak came to an end last season.

Cogliano’s team didn’t have a bad night either, as they defeated the Calgary Flames by a score of 5-2.
Don’t look now, but after a miserable start to the team, the Ducks are just two points behind the Kings for top spot in the Pacific Division.
The Ducks are 9-1-1 in the month of February.
