Katie Ledecky was offered a waffle maker if she won a made-up game on The Ellen Show. Ever the student-athlete, she would not accept.

Show host Ellen DeGeneres proposed Ledecky could use the appliance in her dorm room at the Pac-12 school.

“Well I’m competing NCAA, so I can’t really accept things,” Ledecky quickly replied.

Ledecky appeared to end up beating Grant McCartney of American Ninja Warrior fame in a game DeGeneres called “Foot Flickers.”

Ledecky is starting her freshman year at Stanford this month. The first Stanford Cardinal swim meet is Oct. 14 at Oregon State.
