The 2016 European Championships is finally here.
Host nation France kick off the month-long tournament on Friday at 3 p.m. ET as they square off against Romania in Group A.

Didier Descahmps’ men are among the favorites to win the tournament which has been expanded to 24 teams for the first time.
The French possess multiple mercurial talents such as Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Antoine Griezmann, but will the weight of expectation from their nation rest easy on their shoulders? Or will Les Bleus crumbled under the pressure?
We’re about to find out.
For Romania, they last beat France in 1972 and are the heavy underdogs for this opener at the Stade de France. Everyone is expecting a big win for the hosts to kick things off in Saint-Denis.
