Tottenham Hotspur has sold out Wembley Stadium as they return to the UEFA Champions for first time in five years.
With parts of White Hart Lane under construction during the 2016-17 season as Spurs prepare to build their new home next door to their current home, a reduced capacity of under 30,000 at WHL meant the north London club switched their home games in the UCL to nearby Wembley Stadium.

AS Monaco come to town in their group stage opener on Wednesday and Spurs have announced that tickets for the Group E game sold out with almost 90,000 fans expected.
That will set a new record for a home crowd to watch an English team in a UCL game, with Manchester United’s Old Trafford previously housing just over 75,000 on many occasions, while Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal didn’t sell more than 73,707 tickets for a single game when they played their UCL games at Wembley during the 1998-99 campaign.
Totteham’s previous record for a home game is 75,038 for an FA Cup sixth round against Sunderland in 1938, so this crowd will also be a new club record attendance for a single game.
