Washington entered the season as the prohibitive Pac-10 favorite. But after being swept by in-state rival Washington State on Sunday, the Huskies (19-9, 10-6) are stuck in third place behind Arizona and UCLA, two teams that were supposed to contend for the conference crown next season.
That leaves Lorenzo Romar’s firmly on the NCAA tournament bubble despite having two of the conference’s top 10 players in Isaiah Thomas and Matthew Bryan-Amaning.
It also prompted an interesting tweet by FoxSports.com’s Justin Young.
Is Romar inching toward the hot seat? I don’t think so, but am curious enough about it make it the question of the day.
