Xavier announced on Thursday night that starting guard Myles Davis will be suspended from the program.
Davis is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly being involved in altercations with an ex-girlfriend over the summer.
“Myles Davis is suspended indefinitely from all basketball related activities,” said head coach Chris Mack in a statement. “Playing basketball for Xavier is a privilege and we have high expectations for how our student-athletes represent our university. Unless Myles meets those expectations he will not be a part of our program.”
Davis averaged 10.8 points and 4.1 assists last season.
