While it may only matter to family members and/or degenerate gamblers, Michigan State announced a bowl suspension upon their arrival to Florida Monday.
According to head coach Mark Dantonio, freshman long snapper Matt Giampapa (pictured, right) has been suspended from the Jan. 2 Outback Bowl against Georgia for violating unspecified team rules. Obviously, what that violation may have been was not revealed.
Dantonio, like most of Western civilization, didn’t seem to concerned about the development.
“We will be fine,” Dantonio said. “Steve Moore would be the guy [to replace Giampapa]. He’s snapped before.”
Additionally, Dantonio confirmed that wide receiver Bennie Fowler would not play due to an ongoing foot issue. An unnamed Spartan also stayed back in East Lansing due to “a situation” that needs resolved.
The Detroit Free Press reports that player is not a starter.
