Top Herd Recruit Arrested

An offseason of off-the-field turmoil continued for Marshall as the Tallahassee Democrat is reporting that the top recruit in the Thundering Herd’s 2009 class has been arrested.According to the paper, quarterback A.J. Graham is facing a charge of robbery with a firearm following an incident last weekend.Police allege Graham was one of two people who robbed three males at gunpoint Friday night. The pair then fled the scene in a Chevy Impala, which was later found abandoned. The abandoned car was what led Tallahassee police to make Graham as one of the suspects.Graham was arrested Tuesday evening, shortly before his Godby High School’s senior class was scheduled to graduate; the second suspect has yet to be identified. On Signing Day this past February, Marshall head coach Mark Snyder told the Charleston Daily Mail that Florida’s 2008 Mr. Football is “dynamic. He’s our future."That future, however, could be very much up in the air as the paper reports that the charge facing Graham is a felony punishable by life in prison.
