Welcome to the MLB DFS Stacks article - where we’ll be looking to highlight the best hitting stacks of the day. These recommendations are categorized as “Cash Game Stacks” and “Tournament Stacks” while outlining risk/reward situations. We will add additional context with other hitting/pitching options throughout the article.
Keep in mind that the following player write-ups were constructed earlier in the day, and sometimes injury/rest situations can alter the fantasy landscape. Monitoring our MLB News & Headlines Feed throughout the day will keep you in the loop while giving you the subsequent DFS consequences of each information piece.

CASH GAME STACKS
St. Louis (at Colorado - RHP Antonio Senzatela)
This will be Nolan Arenado’s first game back in Colorado since leaving the Rockies. Yes, he’s an elite play in the best hitting environment baseball has to offer, but don’t forget about his teammates. Paul Goldschmidt isn’t far behind while Dylan Carlson has a modest salary given the circumstances. Paul DeJong and Tyler O’Neill are firmly in play as well. It’s worth noting that Colorado RHP Senzatela has a .359 career wOBA split to right-handed bats at home.

Milwaukee (at Pittsburgh - RHP Wil Crowe)
You could look to the other side of the St. Louis-Colorado matchup for a stacking opportunity with the Rockies. However, I’m thinking the Brewers have an excellent chance at becoming one of the highest run-scoring teams of the night. That’s despite an underwhelming park factor at Pittsburgh. The Pirates’ starting pitcher, righty Wil Crowe, has allowed 34 hits and 23 earned runs across 25 innings over his last six starts. The damage could continue this evening, as Christian Yelich, Luis Urias, Keston Hiura, and Willy Adames are in line to produce.

TOURNAMENT STACKS
San Francisco (at Arizona - RHP Merrill Kelly)
Arizona RHP Merrill Kelly isn’t a bad pitcher by any stretch of the imagination. However, he has been uncharacteristically sloppy this season with a 5.06 ERA hindered by 4+ earned runs in three of his last six starts. That includes a tough 3 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 4 ER performance at San Francisco two weeks ago. There’s a chance the Giants will jump on him in Phoenix tonight. The Diamondbacks’ bullpen has the second-worst xFIP in major league baseball this season, so there’s some upside in the later innings as well. Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, LaMonte Wade Jr., Mike Yastrzemski, and Steven Duggar (nice value) are in consideration through all formats.
Cincinnati (vs. San Diego - LHP Ryan Weathers)
Ryan Weathers has been a quality hurler for the Padres, but the 21-year-old southpaw has had a few recent blemishes with 15 hits and eight earned runs allowed through 13 innings over his last three starts. Now he has a tricky road battle in a hitter-friendly environment across the country. Cincinnati hasn’t been great against left-handed pitching this season, but they have several platoon bats to get the job done. Nick Castellanos, Jonathan India, Eugenios Suarez, Tyler Stephenson, and Aristides Aquino make for an interesting stack.
