  • CLE Relief Pitcher #48
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox.
Clase struck out one and didn’t allow a baserunner in his one inning of work. He now has eight saves and a 0.69 ERA on the season. Considering how well the Guardians have been playing but that their offense doesn’t usually blow opponents out, Clase should be in line for quite a few save opportunities this season.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #38
Paul Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Saturday.
Sewald has allowed one run with seven strikeouts and one walk in seven appearances and converted all four of his save opportunities since coming off the injured list. Fantasy managers that held Sewald since the beginning of the year can’t ask for much more than what they’re getting right now.
  • MIA Third Baseman #36
Jake Burger went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Burger hit .250 with 34 home runs last year. With the three hits on Saturday, his average is up to a paltry .194 on the season. While Burger doesn’t have a track record outside of last season, his career BABIP is .282 and his BABIP this year is much lower at .217. Burger is even striking out at a much lower rate this year with a 22 percent strikeout percentage compared to his career 28 percent strikeout percentage. His batting average should normalize eventually, which makes him a decent buy-low candidate.
  • ARI First Baseman #53
Christian Walker went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI against the Marlins on Saturday.
Walker tied the game at one in the first inning with a line drive double to right field that scored Corbin Carroll. Then he came around and scored on a Lourdes Gurriel double. Walker is hitting .262 with an .819 OPS and 33 RBI on the season.
  • MIA Starting Pitcher #18
Sixto Sanchez allowed three runs in five innings and took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Sanchez allowed five hits, two walks and struck out two. The loss was his third of the season. Sanchez completed five innings for the first time in six starts this year. His ERA is now 6.25 on the season. Once a top prospect, Sanchez doesn’t have much fantasy utility right now as he doesn’t miss many bats or pitch deep into games. That’s not a recipe for winning games on this Marlins team. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rangers at home next week.
  • ARI Starting Pitcher #52
Jordan Montgomery allowed two runs in six innings and picked up the win in the Diamondbacks’ 3-2 victory over the Marlins on Saturday.
The win was Montgomery’s third of the season. He allowed nine hits, a walk and struck out four. Montgomery completed six innings for the fifth time in seven tries this year. His ERA is now 4.69 on the season. The 31-year-old left-hander is set to face the Mets on the road next week.
  • NYY Relief Pitcher #35
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Padres on Saturday.
Holmes pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning and struck out one on his way to his 15th save of the season, which is second among closers in all of baseball. He blew a save earlier this week, but has since bounced back with a four-out save and a clean ninth inning save. Holmes figures to continue racking up saves the way the Yankees’ season is going.
  • SD Right Fielder #23
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Yankees on Saturday.
Tatis Jr. homered on a fly ball to center in the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Luke Weaver. It was his ninth home run on the season and the only run the Padres scored on the night. Tatis has been productive with nine home runs and six stolen bases this year, but his average is lagging behind at .244.
  • NYY Right Fielder #99
Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI against the Padres on Saturday.
Judge started the scoring with a two-run home run off Dylan Cease in the first inning, his 17th of the year. He’s now homered in four consecutive games. Judge is up to a .280 average and 1.050 OPS with 39 RBI on the season. He’s on pace for 52 home runs this season.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #84
Dylan Cease allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday.
Cease allowed eight hits, no walks and struck out nine. He’s had two tough starts in a row with difficult matchups against the Braves and Yankees. His ERA has increased from 2.45 to 3.29 in that time. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next week.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #0
Marcus Stroman threw six shutout innings and picked up the win in the Yankees’ 4-1 victory over the Padres on Saturday.
The win was Stroman’s fourth of the season. He allowed three hits, one walk and struck out five. Stroman lowered his ERA to 2.76 on the season. It was his fifth quality start in 11 tries this season. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the Angels on the road next week.
