Standing room only almost

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Tiger Woods’ long-awaited media meet-and-greet was billed as a must-see event. So much so, in fact, access to Augusta National’s interview room was initially limited to one reporter from each outlet.

Whether it was the NCAA championship game in Indianapolis, or the Monday scheduling, there was room to be had for the big event. Two seats remained opened next to one reporter and there were seats (203 in total) all the way around for the standing-room-only crowd.

As for how the event was ran, Woods reportedly considered making his long-awaited comeback to competitive life at last month’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, but after witnessing the impact of the “return” on Monday even the “King” should be glad Augusta National got the call.
