Tim Lincecum was brilliant Wednesday afternoon, racking up 11 strikeouts while holding the Phillies to one run through eight innings. He stayed in to start the ninth inning, but was yanked at 106 pitches after walking Shane Victorino with one out and watched closer Brian Wilson cough up a 4-1 lead. Wilson came into the game with a 0.00 ERA, but the blown save kept Lincecum from joining Ubaldo Jimenez as the majors’ only 5-0 pitchers. He’ll have to settle for being 4-0 with a 1.27 ERA, .175 opponents’ batting average, and 43/7 K/BB ratio in 35.1 innings. In winning his second straight Cy Young award last season Lincecum didn’t reach four victories until May 26.
