Wily Peralta will take the mound on Opening Day for the Brewers, MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy reported on Monday. He will be the club’s third different Opening Day starter in as many years, following a string of five consecutive Opening Day starts for Yovani Gallardo.

Peralta, 26, made only 20 starts last season due to a left oblique injury. He compiled a disappointing 4.72 ERA with a 60/37 K/BB ratio in 108 2/3 innings. Things aren’t going any better this spring, as he has yielded 19 runs (13 earned) on 23 hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 10 innings. The Brewers are rebuilding so their options are limited.

Jimmy Nelson, Matt Garza, Taylor Jungmann, and Chase Anderson will follow Peralta in the rotation.
