From Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post:
Right fielder/first baseman Michael Cuddyer said he is feeling much better after receiving a shot Tuesday to relieve the stiffness and soreness in his neck. He resumed baseball activities Saturday — throwing and hitting in the cage — and said he’ll be ready to come off the disabled list Friday.
Cuddyer will probably be sent to one of the Rockies’ minor league affiliates this week to play in a couple of rehab games. He has been sidelined since May 9 with an inflamed cervical disc. A little rest and an epidural injection brought him back to (or close to) full health.
Cuddyer, 34, was batting .319/.383/.580 with seven home runs and 23 RBI through his first 31 games.
