Rays sign reliever Jim Miller to minor league deal

From Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish comes word that the Rays have agreed to terms on a minor league contract with right-handed reliever Jim Miller.

The deal includes an invitation to the major league side of spring training, though Miller seems doubtful to win a spot on Tampa Bay’s Opening Day roster.

Miller, 32, made just two appearances at the major league level last season. He spent the large majority of the year with the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate, where he posted a 3.30 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 60/20 K/BB ratio in 57 1/3 innings.
