Danica Patrick in hard crash with David Ragan on Lap 204 (VIDEO)

The Sylvania 300 was briefly put under a red flag to clean up debris from a big crash involving Danica Patrick and David Ragan on Lap 204 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Patrick, who had been running 12th, entered Turn 1 high with Ryan Newman beneath her when it appeared Newman clipped her, sending the No. 10 Chevrolet spinning into the outside wall.

As she rolled back down the track, David Ragan’s No. 55 Toyota slammed into what remained of her rear bumper, sending an explosion of protective foam across the track surface.

Ragan continued on before hitting the outside wall in Turn 2.

“The 31 just totally took me out,” Patrick said over the radio. “I get it, I mean I get that he was working hard to pass me, but it’s not like it was worth 10 laps of the race.”

Ragan spoke to NBCSN after being release from the infield are center.

“Yeah, that was a hard. Thankful to all of the NASCAR safety initiatives over the years that everything is good to go,” Ragain said. “I saw the 10 car wreck and I was just hoping and I thought she would hold on to her brakes and not come down the track as quickly as violently as she did. I guess if I didn’t hit her she probably would have hit the inside wall.”

Both Ragan and Patrick are out of thee race, listed in 40th and 39th.
