Nuggets interested in Ben Wallace

Denver is still looking for another big man to soak up some fouls if and when they take on the Lakers in the playoffs, and now the Nuggets are eyeing Ben Wallace for that role.

Wallace has had a bit of a resurgence this year in Detroit (as much as anybody is surging on the Pistons) and is pulling down nine rebounds a game. Maybe the best measure of how effective Wallace has been is that he is second on the Pistons in +/-, trailing only Rodney Stuckey (and just barely).

Money is not a big issue, Wallace is due the remainder of his $1.3 million deal (double that with the luxury tax, however), and he is a free agent for next year.

There are two questions here. First, Pistons General Manager Joe Dumars has said he would like to keep this team together, to see what they can do healthy, but is that real or just posturing? Second, would Detroit take someone like Anthony Carter or Malik Allen for him, or what sweeteners would need to be in that deal to make it work?
